The New Hope Church of God was established in 1964 by a group of sixteen people, in the New Hope Rd. area, who had a vision for the salvation of the lost, and to build up the Kingdom of God. The New Hope church is geared to the fast moving pace of an ever changing world, yet it remains a Bible based, balanced church. We offer ministry to every member of the family in the way of biblical preaching, teaching, and ministry to the whole body, soul and spirit. Have you ever listened to a Bible teacher or preacher and just wanted to stop that person and say “I don’t understand”. In a small group setting, you can ask questions, participate in a discussion of the text, and hear others share insights and illustrations of the truth you are trying to grasp. In a small group community you will really feel like you are a part of God’s family. We would love to have you join us on Wednesday evenings and take part in one of our small groups!
Acts 2:42, 44, 46-47
They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Every day they continued to meet together... they broke bread in their homes and ate together... and the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

About the Pastor
Pastor’s Chris & Kim Seagle bring with them over 26 years of ministry experience. They have served thirteen years as Senior Pastor, and an additional thirteen years as Youth Pastors. They served the Lord faithfully, for nine years, while pastoring in the mountains of WNC (Western North Carolina) before returning to Gaston County in 2004 to pastor their home church, New Hope Church of God. They have one son, Travis, who along with his wife, Christy, serves as Ministers of Youth and Christian Education at New Hope. Travis and Christy have two children Lydia (2) and Brayden (5 months).
Pastor Chris is an Ordained Bishop with the Church of God, and a graduate of Lee University, earning a B.A. of Christian Ministry with a concentration in Pastoral Ministry. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Christian Education, and Church Leadership. As well as serving as a Senior Pastor he is also an Industrial and Clinical Chaplain.
Sister Kim holds an Associates Degree in Medical Office Administration, and uses her God given talents around the church. She also takes care of the grandchildren, while mom and dad work.
