1. According to Scripture all Christians will not see death; I Cor.15:51-53
51. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52. In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we (the church) shall be changed.
53. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
2. Two Things Will Happen to all Christians Weather They are Dead or Alive.
A. They will be changed;
I Cor. 15:51, Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
B. They will be caught up in the air to be forever with the Lord;
I Thess. 4:16-18 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
The scriptures say "the Lord Himself" will come for the church. The church is too important for even an angel to come for it.
The church was bought and paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
3. After the Rapture the church will never again be seperated from the Lord;
v17. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
4. John declared that something wonderful will happen to Christians at the coming of the Lord in the air;
I John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
5. As a result of this change our bodies will be like His;
Phil 3:21 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
21. Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
6. The Apostle Paul used two words to describe these glorifed bodies;
A. Incorruption
B. Immortality
Cor. 15: 52-53 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
53. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
